Some of you will recall the excellent tours we had pre-covid of Fishmongers and Skinners Livery halls in the City of London. We are fortunate to have now been able to arrange a visit to the Merchant Taylors’ Hall in Threadneedle Street (more famously known as the Bank of England’s address – photo above). We will enjoy coffee and a  1 1/2 hour tour of the hall and hear something of the livery company’s long history – which spans fires, wars, political upheavals and plagues.

Afterwards we’ll walk a short distance to The Old Doctor Butler’s Head (just off Moorgate) one of the City of London’s most historic pubs for lunch. Total time in the City approximately 3 1/2 hours.
