You should have received a Mailchimp broadcast email yesterday regarding the cancelled Ashdown Probus AGM including an online ballot paper. Please click on the links in the email to view associated documents and then on the blue button at the bottom of the message to access the ballot paper and register your votes on the six resolutions. If you prefer there is a hard copy ballot paper which you can complete and return to the Secretary. The deadline for voting is Monday 6th April 2020.
You will have seen from national TV, e-mails from the supermarkets’ Chief Executives and local sources that all the big supermarkets are now providing priority shopping hours for seniors and NHS personnel. The times vary from supermarket to supermarket and the situation changes almost on a daily basis. Rather than attempt to track these here, please use an excellent local information source the Crowborough life website.
In case you’ve encountered this in your local supermarket here are some that are offering priority shopping periods for seniors.
There’s a lot of information on the coronavirus and assistance available on national websites. Owing to the continuing concern relating to the spread of the coronavirus, it has been decided to postpone the forthcoming President’s lunch on March
30th and reschedule this event to Monday 10th August.
The decision to postpone this function is based on the uncertainty of how this viral infection will spread over the next few weeks and months and as the age profile of our club is in the higher risk category, as defined by the government, it does not seem wise to proceed and place us all at risk, as the virus is obviously very contagious and still in the early stages of its life.
Our regular visit to Tunbridge Wells for the Tunbridge Wells Operatic and Dramatic Society’s Spring show The Wizard of Oz. is scheduled for Wednesday 13th May 2020.
