The Groombridge Amateur Dramatic Society production of ‘As You Like It’ is taking place this week and next in David and Sue Homewood’s lovely garden at Birchden, Eridge Road, Groombridge, TN3 9NH. Please see the poster for ticketing details.
The photo shows last week’s contented group of walkers, after coffee, and half way round their six mile walk: not knowing then that navigation problems would add a further two miles in the heat of the day! All ended well with Beer and Lunch at “The Cat” West Hoathly!
During this glorious weather (long may it last) don’t forget that our monthly Croquet meeting is open to all members and their wives/partners. The group meets on the second Tuesday of each of the Summer months (May to September) for a friendly, gentle, morning’s activity at Royal Tunbridge Wells Croquet Club, Calverley Park, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2SH. For £7 per player you get two hours play including tea/coffee and cake.
This week 12 players enjoyed croquet action in the sun with the photograph showing a tense moment in one of the matches played.
New players who would like to join us are most welcome, and will receive some helpful instruction. If you would like to come along next month on Tuesday 11th July please contact Michael Sander, Convenor Croquet. Mob: 07855428286, Home: 01892-527315, e-mail: msanderuk@gmail.com
