After having to cancel last month’s luncheon due to covid fears, with concerns about the Omicron variant now decreasing, the Golf club have confirmed that they plan “business as usual” for events during February so we will be able to hold our usual monthly luncheon as scheduled on Monday 14th February 2022. If you are happy to venture out we look forward to seeing you then.

Last Autumn the visits to Trinity Theatre and the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells proved popular with members. So to kick-off the Outings programme for this year we have arranged a discounted ticket price for the production of A Murder is announced at The Assembly Hall Theatre on Friday 1st April 2022.

We are pleased to advise that Ashdown Probus Golf Society has arranged a Spring and an Autumn Golf meeting this year.

Spring: 22nd and 23rd May 2022 at the London Beach Hotel, Tenterden, TN30 6HX.

Autumn: 25th to 27th September 2022 at the Cottesmore Hotel Golf and Country Club, Pease Pottage, RH11 9AT.

We would like to invite you to this year’s President’s Lunch, on March 10th, at the High Rocks Restaurant, 12:30 pm for 13:00 pm. This President’s lunch will be a slightly different occasion, in that we will be thanking two Presidents for their contribution and excellent stewardship of the Club. As we were unable to hold this function last year due the COViD pandemic, we will, this year, be thanking both David Scaife and Andrew Fermor, and also welcoming the incoming President, Brian Hughes.

Although better weather is still a few months away, we thought you would like to make a note in your diaries of a new Activities initiative – a “taster” Bowling session on FRIDAY 6th May 2022. More details nearer the date.
