Twenty members and partners attended the Ashdown Probus Club Summer Picnic on Monday this week. We are once again grateful to David and Sue Homewood for giving us access to their lovely garden and were fortunate that this year no brollies were requried – it turning out to be one of the few true English Summer afternoons of the year! The long picnic table was set in the shade but after their feast all spilled out to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the sunshine with several members participating in highly competititve croquet matches on the lawn.
Dates for your diaries… The next outings planned for the Club are a vineyard tour and tasting at Sedlescombe Organic Vineyard, Robertsbridge on Friday 29th September and a trip to the Apothecaries Hall and a pub lunch in the City of London on Tuesday 24th October.
