Your golf committee is pleased to report that another very successful event took place at London Beach Golf Hotel, Tenterden on 21st and 22nd May. Nine members and ten partners took part in two competitions, the first a fun and ‘warm up’ team Stableford match with a good mix of playing handicaps, male/female members from Crowborough Beacon and Nevill clubs.
The second day format was individual Stableford play, trying to win trophies for best man’s and best woman’s score. Our Probus Club Vice President, Phil Watson won the men’s cup with an excellent 42 points, and Linds Weatherley made 38 points to pick up the Ladies trophy. Congratulations to each of them.
Sunday evening dinner went off with fun and good fellowship, and a tipple or two.
Our next outing is scheduled for 25th – 26th September at Weald of Kent Golf Club, with 20 members/guests already signed up and deposits paid – reconfirming that the group remains very active.
