Mike Sander writes: I thought I would give you early notice of the arrangements for our Golf Croquet mornings starting in early May at Royal Tunbridge Wells Croquet Club.
Two lawns are reserved for our use on the following Tuesdays (from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm):
10th May / 14th June / 12th July / 9th August / 13th September
The charge this year will be £6 per person. It would be helpful if you were able to come armed with the right change (cash!). You may wish to pay ahead (e.g. 4 x £6 = 2 persons for 2 separate mornings = £24 = (only £1 change needed from a £20 + a £5 note)!
With a number of likely new players, it looks as if there will be a significant demand to play. The maximum at any one time will be 16 players: i.e Two games of doubles on each lawn. It would be helpful if you could give me an indication now:
- That you do intend to play this season
- That you will generally be one / two persons
- Whether in principle you intend to play on each / all of these dates, or
- Indicate when you will definitely be away
For those who are new, the Crescent Road Car Park is close, and opposite the entrance to the upper part of Calverley Park. It would be helpful also if you were able to share your mobile phone Number with me.
