The Royal Tunbridge Wells Croquet Club re-opened its lawns to its members on 29 March 2021, subject to compliance with the Croquet Association’s Covid Rules.
We have since negotiated, and the lawns will be available for use by Ashdown Probus Members and their partners, on dates each month from May to September 2021 as follows:
- Tues May 4th: Tues June 8th: Tues July 6th: Tues Aug 10th: Tues Sept 7th
- All from 10.00 am till 12.30 / 1.00 pm.
Probus Croquet Season starts on Tuesday 4 May at 10.00 o’clock
Venue: RTWCC Lawns, Top of Calverley Park, Tunbridge Wells
Game: Golf Croquet: Skilled but uncomplicated
Social (subject to distancing!), friendly, mildly competitive…Gentle exercise!
Flat shoes….We provide the mallets….
Quality of Lawns: Presently at a good standard
All for £5 per player!
Unfortunately we are unable to use the Clubhouse for Food and Drink, and suggest you bring your own Thermos. You may shelter, if that becomes necessary, on the benches under the roof cover in front of the Clubhouse.
We are writing to notify all previous players of this opportunity, but would also welcome new participants. We are allowed to have up to 6 players on each of our two best Lawns.
