Stan Loosley

Stan passed away on Monday 13th April at Pembury Hospital.
Stan was a recent member joining Ashdown Probus Club in 2017, when we moved the monthly lunch to the Crowborough Golf Club.
Stan was taken into Pembury Hospital in very poor condition last Thursday, despite being given oxygen unfortunately he couldn’t be saved and died in hospital. Actual cause of death has, as yet, not been disclosed (he was not tested for Covid-19) but as we all know Stan had been in poor health for some time and the last few months had been very difficult for him.
Easter Greetings

To All Members and Families of Ashdown Probus Club
Wishing you all a Happy Easter.
May you enjoy the sunshine and keep well.
Your Committee,
David Scaife,
President
Marshall Scott

I am sorry to have to report that one of our founder members, Marshall Scott, passed away peacefully on Saturday 4th April.
Marshall was one of the few remaining founder members of Ashdown Probus. He was President in 1994-1995. He and his wife moved to Southampton several years ago to be closer to their family.

Albion Fine Foods

You may have experienced problems in arranging food deliveries recently with long waiting times for “slots” from the supermarkets. The Crowborough Life website recommends Albion Foods in Tonbridge. Phone: 01732 757900. The company has traditionally been suppliers of food stuffs to the catering trade but in light of recent events, with the catering market devastated by Coronavirus, it has branched out into home delivery of their products. A web based ordering system has been established and, if you feel this service could be of interest to you please visit….
