I am sorry to have to report that one of our founder members, Marshall Scott, passed away peacefully on Saturday 4th April.
Marshall was one of the few remaining founder members of Ashdown Probus. He was President in 1994-1995. He and his wife moved to Southampton several years ago to be closer to their family. Sadly, over recent years he developed dementia, and for the past year had been in residential care.
Under current restrictions only ten people will be permitted to attend Marshall’s funeral. They will be Marshall’s widow, children and grandchildren. We are, however, sending a letter of condolence to the family from all at Ashdown Probus Club.
I am sure that our thoughts will be with Marshall’s widow, Ceris, and his immediate family.
