Ashdown Probus Club was formed in 1991 and over the last 34 years has provided the following areas of interest for our members:
The main objectives of our Club are to promote friendship and fellowship, provide entertainment and generate a programme of activities, functions and outings, where the subjects covered are informative, educational and entertaining.
The Activities comprise; three walking groups, who after their walks also enjoy a pub lunch, a croquet section and a golf group with two annual competitions.
Functions are the more special occasions where members and partners attend two formal lunches, these being the President’s and the Christmas lunches, and there is also an informal Summer Picnic.
Outings are visits to the theatre, local historic houses and industrial locations, guild companies and many other places of interest.
Ashdown Probus is a Club which is for people who are retired, semi-retired or are nearing retirement from their profession or business life and want to maintain a social network with others who have similar interests. Formally we meet once a month, normally the second Monday in the month, for social drinks and lunch, at which we host an interesting and sometimes humorous speaker.
Once again, thank you for visiting our website and you would be made very welcome if you wish to further your interest by attending one of our monthly lunches and meetings.
