‘Tis the season to be jolly and of course a Christmas lunch is a great time to meet up with friends to celebrate the festive period and catch up on old times. Ashdown Probus Club held their Christmas Lunch, this year at Crowborough Beacon Golf Club, where 63 members and their partners enjoyed a delicious three course festive lunch.

The ambience inside the Clubhouse with its decorated Christmas trees and bespoke table arrangements, made from natural materials, provided a lovely setting for this event. Getting the lunch off to a warm and pleasant start.

Our President, Phil Watson, welcomed everyone and detailed the proceedings for the afternoon. Phil introduced, for the first time, a Christmassy quiz which provided great amusement around all of the tables as we rattled our brains to answer the questions, which we knew but sometimes could not remember or figure out. Two tables tied for first place, which was a large tub of chocolates. But we all won because conversation flowed and enjoyment was had by all.

A great Christmas lunch enjoyed by everyone.
