Unfortunately, and after much deliberation, we have decided to cancel the President’s lunch which was scheduled to be held on 7th July 2021.
The reasoning behind this decision is that it was felt that July 7th is too close to the proposed date where the Government intends to remove all COViD restrictions (June 21st). Liaising with the Hydro hotel, their feeling is that although the majority of restrictions will be removed, there is a strong possibility that, within the hospitality sector, the social distancing guidelines may remain in place for the foreseeable future.
This assumption obviously has a significant limitation to both the attendance numbers and also the size of tables. Therefore, in essence we concluded that for both the Hydro and ourselves it becomes a difficult event to manage.
For your diaries, the date of the President’s lunch has been rescheduled to be held on Thursday 10th March 2022, at the Hydro hotel, Eastbourne.
