After her recent after-lunch presentation to Ashdown Probus Shelagh Black writes << This being my first foray into public speaking I was a little nervous when I presented my talk ‘Behind closed doors in the Microbiology Laboratory’ but delighted to talk about a subject and career which I absolutely loved. The talk was well received with lots of questions afterwards and many said how much they had enjoyed the subject matter.

Our son has now asked me to talk to his 6th form students about careers available in Pathology which will be a different challenge!

Thank you again for inviting me to speak to Ashdown Probus.>>

July’s after-lunch speaker is Lieutenant Colonel Rod McArthur on “Royal Engineers Bomb Disposal”.

If you would like to make a short after-lunch presentation on your business experience, travel, hobby or a favourite subject at one of Ashdown Probus Club’s lunches, Brian Hughes would love to hear from you. (bhughes41@btinternet.com)
